What do I need?

For great 2-shot, full-360 results you need a Digital Camera, 180° Fisheye Lens, Panohead and Tripod.

Digital Camera

VRstitcher Fisheye is designed around the 2 shot fisheye camera systems such as the Nikon Coolpix.

In addition to Coolpix, there are a number of 2-shot systems, with most compatible with VRstitcher.

Fisheye Lens and Adaptor

A fisheye lens is an extreme wide angle lens with a field of view 180° or greater. A full-360 spherical panorama is created by stitching together 2 hemispherical photos taken with this lens.

There are several 180° fisheye lenses available. We recommend the Nikon FC-E8 and FC-E9 lenses and lens adaptors to suit the Coolpix camera series.

Panohead Rotator and Tripod

A panohead or rotator (far left), together with tripod (left), aligns the fisheye lens/camera so the photos may be taken at exactly 180° intervals.

Attached to the tripod when shooting, it eliminates the displacements between hemispheres and ensuring seamless stitching.

Full-360 Kit includes a Panohead suitable for the Nikon FC-E8 and FC-E9 fisheye lens.
